Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando – Florida
Most families who are thinking about Disney World probably have the theme park at Magic Kingdom in mind, where you can meet all the Disney characters. But Disney World in Orlando consists of four theme parks. A brief introduction to them can be found here! Exactly how many people visit Disney World each year is a trade secret but there is speculation that the number is around an amazing 65-70 million visitors per year! No wonder that Disney World has around 55 000 dedicated employees or crew members as they are known.

Magic Kingdom
The first of the four theme parks of Disney World, which was originally opened in 1971. Magic Kingdom is a theme park where you meet all the Disney characters and can visit their world.
Epcot Center
An expansive theme park that continues to evolve! A visit to Epcot lets you visit different countries in one day (currently 11) you can get a taste of Mexico, Italy, Norway, Japan and Morocco to name but a few of the countries represented here. Epcot is a park with visions of the future and where you can learn more about the human body, space, roads or inventions.
Disney Hollywood Studios
Become the focal point of your favorite Hollywood adventure with live entertainment and showcase attractions including Pixar Place – home to Toy Story characters. At Hollywood Studios you will find films sets, live shows and rides – all linked to the film world.
Animal Kingdom
The newest of The Walt Disney World Resorts theme parks, Animal Kingdom is an amusement park without the fairy-tale characters but with real live animals, a zoo then. But do not be fooled and think that it is just an ordinary zoo. In true Disney spirit there are constantly surprising little details. Learn about animals, experience a safari, or go on a live show with tame animals.

We have been to Disney World four times now and love it. Best tip I can give you is to plan your days at the theme parks as it can really make a difference. Basically do the opposite to what everyone else is doing and take advantage of the extra hours if you are staying at one of the Disney hotels.
